Description

This Moisturising Serum Face Oil is packed with vitamins and minerals and can be used in place of your usual moisturiser for a 100% natural way of moisturising your skin. All of my Serums are made with the 100% natural plant extract and oils and so are good for sensitive skis. I’ve formulated the correct blend of base oils and essential oils for each skin type.

Many of our customers guess that this formulation is our heaviest formulation but as your skin ages it gets thinner and more fragile so heavier blends aren’t always the right thing – they can clog the pores and make the skin appear dull. There are oils that can do the hard work without being weighty so this recipe will not feel any heavier on your skin than the version for Dry Skin. Here we have Borage oil which is a strong anti-inflammatory – good for sensitive/fragile skins, moisturising Evening Primrose and a larger than usual helping of vitamin packed and hydrating Rosehip Seed oil. Carrot Seed Oil features as it’s high in antioxidants so an obvious choice for ageing skins and finally some precious healing Sandalwood Essential Oil.

I’m often asked when is one’s skin mature? – well the bad news is in that in skincare term anything over 30! I feel this is a more personal choice however and you’ll find the right oil for you – everyone has their favourite. Personally I grew up with Eczema and my skin has had a bit of a punishing time so I have been using my mature recipe since I first concocted it nearly 20 years ago (and at that point I felt far from mature!) Many of our customers that have sensitive skins also choose to use this with positive results.

This product is Vegan Friendly and Palm Oil Free

Our Face Oil is designed to be used in place of your usual moisturiser – in very simple terms a cream is made from oil and water – this is just the oil without the water which means it doesn’t need a commercial preservative and you’re getting the best bits of the recipe without the water – you just need to use less of it of course. I use mine nightly and in the winter I tend to use it in the morning as well (I have a weakness for sitting in front of a roaring fire nightly – not great for my skin) but some people use it under their regular night cream for an extra ‘boost’ or even just as a weekly treat after using a face mask. How you choose to use it is up to you and how much your skin needs may alter through the year and you may, like me, alter your regime with the seasons. To use: gently massage the oil into slightly dampened skin paying particular attention to the skin on your neck which has very few oil glands. If any oil remains on your skin after a few minutes, you’ve probably applied a little too much and you should remove any excess with cotton wool. As a guide I apply mine before I go to bed and I probably use 4 or 5 drops for the whole of my face and neck.

I have become hopelessly addicted to the Moisturizing Face Serum for mature skin. It has dramatically improved the texture and tone of my complexion. I love the scent of this serum and how effortlessly it absorbs into the skin-fantastic!

  2. K Smith

I bought this face oil from the Christmas market in Manchester, I have been using it for about 3 days, mine and my partners skin feels and looks amazing. You will not be disappointed and you only need a small amount.

I have been using this oil for my’mature’ skin for the past year and love it but would like you to consider a new bottle design.. if this is feasible as it has on several occasions separated, both glass tube & rubber bulb and has leaked the precious oil when picking it up to use. Is this something that has happened to anyone else ?

      Hi Barbara
sorry you’re having difficulty – Oils seem to be a difficult thing to get right regarding packaging – ie no leaking so safe for transit and also for ease of administering – this is the third type of bottle I’ve used for this product and it is the best so far but not perfect – it’s most definately my product-nemesis! I’ve ben usin this for about a yearand haven’t had any other feedback regarding them separating – they are a push fit so should fit back together easily enough. It is a bit of a ‘diva’ when it comes to handling though and you have to make sure you twist the cap to open it an not grab the rubber bulb at the same time as you can twist it off as well in the process. I’m always on the lookout for improvments thouh and if i find anything better you’ll be the first to find out. I’ve just posted your new order today so good luck with this bulb/pipette.

I was a bit apprehensive using an oil on my face at first, but my worries were soon gone after the first application. My skin is smoother and has a healthy glow. I use this along side the cleanser and would never use any else now. And a little goes a long way xx
